What do we do?
The Division supports GPs working with patients with drug and alcohol issues. We actively encourage GPs to become accredited methadone and buprenorphine prescribers.
A Drug and Alcohol Interest Group provides education, a forum for discussion, and peer support for GPs with an interest in drug and alcohol issues.
Drug and Alcohol Interest Group meetings cover a wide variety of topics and are accredited as GP training.
Quarterly forums for methadone and buprenorphine prescribers are held at the Division. Contact Kay.
Medical practitioners wanting to become methadone and buprenorphine prescribers can contact Lurline Waters, 9525 7399 or email for training dates and details.
Southcity clinic also offers regular forums on drug and alcohol issues. Contact Lurline.
